Overview

　　 HK-4507 Softening Point of Asphalt (Ring-and Ball test apparatus) conforms to the ASTM D36 Standard Test Method for Softening Point of Bitumen(Ring-and-Ball Apparatus).The apparatus covers the determination of the softening point of bitumen in the range from 30 to 157℃ [86 to 315℉] using the ring-and ball apparatus immersed on distilled water [30 to 80℃] or USP glycerin (above 80 to 157℃）.

Features

1. The apparatus is composed by bracket,which is made up by upper support plate,mid-support plate and lower support plate,test cup,steel ball locator,standard steel ball,flask and thermometer.

2. Steel ballpositioner:Covers on brass billet,the other three locating studs control the steel ball to fall,freely in the middle of the test cup through the gap over the locatingstuds.

3. Standard ball:Diameter9.5mm,weight 3.50g±0.05g

4. Bracket:It gets two pivots to contact upper support plate,mid-support plate and lower support plate and fix the distance 25mm.

   On the pivots,51mm from mid-support plate there is a mark of scribed line which is as index of the height pouring water or glycerin.

5. Beaker:Volume 800ml,diameter is about Φ90mm,height is no less than 140mm.

6. Thermometer: full dip stick type, 30～180℃, graduation 0.5℃
